About Me

I am Manasi (Maan-si) Gokhale and thats me in the picture here. Originally from Pune(India), I am currently residing in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I am primarily a programmer and most of my experience is in building web-based applications using Java technology. I am also a freelance web designer and you can browse my Portfolio here.

Internet fascinates me and I love to be a part of it. I am happiest when I am designing or building something for the web. This hasn't always been the case, though. Growing up, I had a passion for drawing and wanted to be the best architect in the world! Well, neither the best architect, nor the best programmer, but I do put my heart and soul in my work. That sure counts for something, eh! Some interesting facts about me:

I am blessed with a family who love me more than the size of this universe and great friends without whom life would be boring and of course a loving husband who is incredibly patient with my tantrums. He simply brings out the best in me !

About This Site

It all started with a casual thought "I want my own website" and gradually a mere idea turned to reality. I have spent hours sketching out designs for this website, surfing the web to get ideas from other designers, reading design blogs and trying to get an inspiration from almost everyone and everything. It was a time well spent. In this process, I learnt a lot and I found my inspiration from nature, and that is the theme of this website - Flowers.

Thats the magic of design. You can get inspired from anything and push your creativity to limits. Work hard and the end result will always be stunning. Web Design has always been my passion and will remain so. It gives me a chance to showcase my ability and passion in designing; to use my creative side along with my technical skills. I love programming and I like to use it in combination with design. Its more fun that way.

BloomingWorks is just the beginning. I want to keep on learning and use my skills to provide cost-effective and compelling web designs for businesses, non-profits and educational institutions.
